Fox & Pencil does not ask for an account, your email or your real name.
What you type. Worksheets are made in your browser. A child's name typed into the name tracing tool is kept in your browser (local storage) so it is there next time, and appears in the page address so you can bookmark the sheet; it is not stored on our servers. Don't share a link if you'd rather keep the name private.
Preferences. Your theme and page-width choices are stored in your browser.
Chinese characters and cursive. To draw stroke order, your browser downloads public character data for the characters on the sheet from jsDelivr. Cursive sheets load a handwriting font from Google Fonts.
Advertising. We show ads from Google AdSense, which may use cookies to personalise ads. You can manage this at Google ad settings. The site is meant for parents and teachers, not for children to browse on their own.
Analytics and cookies. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which worksheets are useful. It uses cookies and receives the page address, the site you came from, your approximate location, device and browser, but never what you type into the worksheet maker. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked first: analytics and ad cookies stay off until you agree, and you can change your choice at any time from the privacy settings link on the page.
Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
